Your MissionAs our new Director of Business Development
, you’ll be the bridge between breakthrough technology and the industries that need it most. With a focus on working with our Tier‑1 customers in the US, you’ll lead our growth in promising markets like mobile devices, data centers, smart glasses, and sensors. Here’s how you’ll make that happen:
- Be the Customer’s Voice
:
Act as the customer’s advocate within SCIL Nanoimprint, ensuring that our innovation aligns with their needs, building trust, and driving long‑term satisfaction. - Guiding Collaborative Success
:
Partner with customer technical teams, tailoring presentations and trainings to help them harness the power of our technology. - Driving Account Growth
:
With clear objectives and KPIs, you’ll create account plans that foster growth with strategic partners. - Building Strategic Connections
:
Develop relationships with key decision‑makers to accelerate product adoption and inspire them with our solutions. - Shaping Strategy with Insight
:
Through in‑depth market research and strategic analysis, you’ll position us firmly within the competitive nanoimprint and lithography landscape. - Spotting Opportunity
:
Collaborate with our leadership team to identify strategic market segments and develop targeted approaches. - International Presence
:
Take ownership of the USA market and collaborate on worldwide projects according to your customers’ global footprint. - Industry Leadership

Represent SCIL Nanoimprint at global trade shows, conferences, and networking events. - Business Travel
:
You act as the local point of contact for our customers. Expect approximately 25–50% local and regional travel within the Bay Area (California) and the wider USA. Occasional international travel to our headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, may be required.
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic insight with a hands‑on approach to drive meaningful, long‑term impact in complex, high‑tech sales environments.
- Educational foundation: Bachelor’s degree in (industrial) Engineering, Business, or a related field (an MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Experience in high‑tech industries: A proven track record in commercial roles within the high‑tech or deep‑tech sectors, plus exposure to semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills: You know how to build and sustain strong, meaningful relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Problem solving and negotiation skills: You have a knack for identifying customer challenges and crafting tailored solutions, backed by strong negotiation experience.
- Technical acumen: You’re able to grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them to diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management skills: You know how to structure and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in an organized and effective manner.
- Strategic and analytical skills: You can spot market trends, understand competitive landscapes, and position products effectively.
- Sales mastery: You possess an in‑depth understanding of a complex sales process, from identifying high‑potential leads to nurturing long‑term, strategic customer relationships.
- Team management: You have the experience or interest to manage a team of sales and account management professionals as the company further grows.
- Self‑driven: This role requires independence and proactivity. You’re a self‑starter who thrives without needing constant guidance.
- Communication & presentation skills: You feel confident representing SCIL during trade shows, conferences, and industry events. You communicate clearly, present convincingly, and feel comfortable engaging diverse audiences.
