Staff Accountant

This is a contract role based in San Francisco, CA. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day accounting functions, such as overseeing accounts payable and receivable, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include assisting with month‑end close processes, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with team members to support client needs. This role requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

• Proficiency in bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Experience with financial statements preparation and analytical reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software and tech solutions, ideally Quick Books or similar tools
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for supporting client needs
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

This is a 1099 independent contractor position compensated on an hourly basis.
