Advertising Accountant

Our client, a global media company, is looking for an Advertising Accountant to join their team! This will be an onsite role working out of their office in San Francisco. The successful candidate will have experience working in the advertising or media industry, advanced analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Contract Role: 8 months
• Pay: $30-33/hr on W2
• Schedule:
  
  9AM to 6PM M-F, fully onsite

• Reviewing digital ad sales contracts against initial order set up ensuring all requirements for revenue recognition are met
• Recording revenue recognition accurately ensuring compliance with SOX controls and GAAP standards
• Manage month-end close activities (journal entries, revenue calculations, accruals, etc.)
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Researching revenue variances
• Assist with quarterly SOX audits, internal audits, & external audits

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Prior experience working in the advertising media industry
• Experience utilizing Oracle or other large ERP software
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups/xvlookups, etc.)
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
