Senior Accounting Manager

The Role

We are building our accounting function from scratch, and we are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to help lead that effort.

This is a 0→1 opportunity with broad ownership. You will report into and work side-by-side with the Head of Finance to establish foundational accounting systems, processes, and controls, while also running the day-to-day accounting operation. Your work will directly enable accurate, timely financial reporting during a period of rapid growth, evolving business models, and increasing scale. You will own the accounting truth.

This is not your typical accounting role. If you are energized by building rather than maintaining, and want real influence over how things are designed and run, this role gives you the chance to shape the accounting function, and beyond. You will also partner with our Marketplace Engineering team to inform and influence product features that power the SF Compute platform.

• Core Accounting & Close

  • Own the monthly close process end-to-end, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Continuously improve the speed, quality, and scalability of the close

  • Maintain balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and reviews

• Working with our external Net Suite consultant, optimize Net Suite flow with a strong focus on automation and clean data flows between our internal databases and external service providers

• Support the design and implementation of internal controls and audit-ready processes

• Partner with the Head of Finance on audit preparation and external advisor coordination

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management

• Support intercompany accounting, eliminations, and the future rollout of a formal consolidation process

• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts in partnership with Finance leadership

• Collaborate with Operations and other teams to support accurate reporting, cost visibility, and compliance

• Help translate business activity into clean, reliable financial data

• Assist the Marketplace Engineering team in exploring or fine tuning our marketplace features so they are loved by our customers

• Without slowing down our pace and growth, play a key role in defining processes, documentation, and best practices that will support future company growth

• Build and lead a high-performing accounting team as the company scales

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field

• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or VC-backed technology company

• 1+ year of experience managing or mentoring high-performing accounting professionals

• CPA strongly preferred;
  Big 4 public accounting experience is a plus

• Experience owning end-to-end accounting operations, including monthly close, payroll, AP, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Comfortable working across multiple legal entities; international exposure is a plus

• Deep, hands-on experience with Net Suite (this is required)

• Strong technical accounting foundation; experience in marketplace, fintech, digital assets, or infrastructure-heavy businesses is a plus

• Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes and leverage automation to minimize manual work

• Proven track record of owning complex accounting areas and consistently meeting close and reporting deadlines

• Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong organizational skills

• Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
