Accounting Specialist
Type: Temp to Hire
Start: ASAP
Location: Onsite
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm schedule (candidate choice)
Comp: $32.74/hr pay rate. Salary upon conversion TBD.
A high-end real estate and property management group is adding an Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting tasks, vendor setup, contract preparation, and communication with tenants and internal teams. This is a new role, so long-term conversion depends on workload and performance. The team values strong communication, problem solving, and a polished, service-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities Accounting Support- Process, upload, and code 150+ invoices per month
- Enter cash receipts and billing adjustments
- Enter AP invoices and verify supporting documentation
- Monitor receivables, run weekly AR reports, and follow up on late tenant payments
- Assist with month-end and periodic accounting deadlines
- Help prepare routine reporting packages
- Assist the Accounting Manager and General Manager
- Create and update vendor contracts and populate fields in templates
- Set up new vendors and support coding/payment questions
- Coordinate with Shared Services on payment status and tenant account issues
- Maintain organized files and documentation
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
- 1-2+ years in accounting, AP/AR, or bookkeeping
- Experience with Yardi highly preferred; MRI acceptable
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and a professional, friendly style
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Strong organization and time management abilities
