Non-Profit Audit Manager - San Francisco, CA
The client is seeking a remote Audit Manager to perform financial statement audits and attest engagements of Non-Profit clients for top CPA firms across the United States.
The Role- The management, leadership, and supervision of staff (entry-level, senior, and supervisor-level individuals) on various NPO audits.
- Managing the significant responsibility of reviewing NFP audits while following a structured timeline of due dates and deadlines.
- Review of draft financial statements and related audit documents.
- Report audit findings to stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
- A Master's degree is highly preferred
- CPA required.
- Train and develop other staff members.
- Building and managing client relationships.
- Ensuring the quality and managing the workflow of various work products.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of audit experience with a public accounting firm performing services for US domestic clients.
- Prior experience with trust, non-profit, estate, & gift taxation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising and training staff.
- Proficient in individual and entity taxation (partnerships, LLCs, & corporations).
- Special attention will be given to candidates who have strong experience in estate and trust taxation.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills are required.
- Knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS, etc.).
- Ability to successfully manage multiple engagements and time constraints.
- Routine in-house CPE, company-paid offsite CPE, reimbursable CPA exam costs, and higher education reimbursement.
- Flexibility to set your own work schedules and work remotely to balance your work and personal lives.
