Senior Accounting Manager
Our client, a rapidly scaling AI technology company, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and help build scalable processes.
Location: San Francisco, CA — in-office schedule of 3‑4 days per week.
Job Description: This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys creating structure from ambiguity, and is excited to partner cross‑functionally in a high‑growth setting.
Responsibilities- Own end‑to‑end billing operations for usage‑based revenue streams and ensure ASC 606 compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable workflows, vendor setup, invoice processing, and payments.
- Manage payroll for U.S. and international employees, ensuring accurate recording and compliance.
- Maintain equity ledger and process option grants, exercises, and terminations.
- Prepare monthly close deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Support annual audit, tax filings, and provide operational insights to FP&A.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 7‑10+ years of accounting experience, ideally with early‑stage tech or SaaS companies.
- Strong operational experience with accounting systems and processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and improve processes as the company grows.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr. The role may also include discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, vision benefits, and 401(k) plan.
