SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Consultant (Manager Level)

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager Consultant to support our client's team through the upcoming 10‑K cycle. This role requires a strong blend of technical accounting expertise, SEC reporting experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal consultant will bring proven leadership, excellent judgment, and hands‑on experience preparing complex disclosures and technical memos.

• Lead key components of the SEC reporting process during the 10‑K cycle, managing deadlines and deliverables from start to finish.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memorandums
  , applying sound judgment and detailed research to support conclusions.
• Drive proactive communication across teams, anticipating reporting needs and ensuring readiness for upcoming deadlines.
• Exercise strong decision‑making with minimal supervision while effectively partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Prepare and review the statement of cash flows
  , ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize Workiva for drafting and collaboration on SEC filings and Net Suite for journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Apply deep knowledge of ASC 718 for stock‑based compensation accounting.
• Support ad‑hoc technical accounting and SEC reporting projects as needed.

• Experience using Equity Edge Online (stock administration software).
• Background in SaaS or subscription‑based revenue models.

• 5–8+ years of relevant experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
• Prior public accounting or public company experience at the Manager level strongly preferred.
• Strong project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
