Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
DLC, an Addison Group Company, is adding talent to its San Francisco-based team of Accounting Manager Consultants.
We are currently seeking experienced Accounting Manager Consultants who want to join a talented team supporting our clients with interim and project-based accounting needs.
DLC serves clients from five offices across Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Southern California. Our Bay Area clients include Yahoo, Google, Union Bank, Levi's, Genentech, Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Applied Materials, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Salesforce, Dreyer’s Ice Cream, and numerous venture capital, hedge fund, and private equity firms.
As a DLC Consultant, you will deliver solutions across various industries, working directly with accounting, finance, and operational executives.
Job Responsibilities- Drive the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations such as accrued expenses, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, equity activities, and cash/investment activities.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks), including supporting documentation.
- Support post-merger integration, develop reporting packages, coordinate audits, prepare consolidated financial statements, redesign monthly close processes, and review internal control policies.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Rule 404 internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements, such as expense analysis, forecasting, and profitability reporting at customer and segment levels.
- Participate in monthly budget vs. actual meetings and investigate variances.
- Supervise accounting team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus.
- 2-4 years of Big 4 accounting experience (preferred).
- 3 years of corporate general ledger experience (preferred).
- CPA certification is desirable.
- Experience drafting SEC filings (10-Qs and 10-Ks).
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Ability to research complex transactions and communicate guidance effectively.
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and manage teams.
- Attention to detail, high ethics, and integrity.
- Willingness to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
- System implementation experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and excellent communication.
- Approximately 5-20 years of overall experience.
