** R&D Product Development Senior Chemist*

** R&D Product Development Senior Chemist
** for a

** Overview*
* The Client is an established and expanding organization within the food and flavor industry, known for delivering high-quality, innovative ingredients and products. The R&D Product Development Senior Chemist plays a key role in developing new and improving existing products while supporting internal teams and customers through technical expertise and leadership. This position requires creativity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.

** Schedule*
* Mon-Fri Day shift Full-time, on-site

** Responsibilities*
* + Analyze, develop, and improve new and existing products using both existing and new raw materials.

+ Create and match products supplied by customers and internal personnel from competitor benchmarks.

+ Demonstrate superior creativity and technical skill in product development activities.

+ Originates and/or develops new and existing products, including juice concentrates and flavors, based on defined customer or internal requirements with little to no direction.

+ Determine project feasibility based on production capacity, technology, equipment, and other operational limitations.

+ Perform cost analysis and recommend suggested selling prices for all developed products.

+ Create master formulas and detailed compounding instructions as needed.

+ Prepare, review, and revise product specification sheets.

+ Direct the evaluation and testing of product prototypes.

+ Contact customer technical staff to assess requirements and develop products that meet or exceed performance expectations and application needs.

+ Provide technical assistance to customers and brokers, including on-site support for first-time productions and troubleshooting.

+ Assist Quality Control and Production teams during first-time manufacturing of new products.

+ Organize and establish guidelines, procedures, and policies for all outgoing R&D samples.

+ Provide training and technical guidance to R&D Product Development Chemists and Lab Technicians.

+ Assume responsibility for all sample request inquiries during the R&D Product Development Manager's absence.

+ Perform additional duties and special projects as required.

+ Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

** Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.

+ Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Chemist, preferably in product development or R&D.

+ Strong analytical, laboratory, and research & development skills.

+ Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

+ Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

+ Supervisory or management experience preferred.
