• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra awesome).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The position includes assisting customers, cleaning display cases and shelves, cleaning and filling self‑serve displays, and performing heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
