Requirements
- 2 years of experience in production planning in the Food/Beverage/Pharmaceutical/Nutraceutical Manufacturing
- Minimum 1 year of Leadership background as a Supervisor or Lead strongly preferred
The Production Planner Lead is responsible for guiding the planning team to meet production goals while upholding company values. This role requires demonstrated success in production planning, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing equipment, processes, product formulas, and inventory flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to foster collaboration across departments to drive operational efficiency.
This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with customers, co-workers, and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
- Oversee daily production schedules are completed.
- Manage and ensure completion of daily production schedules.
- Proactively troubleshoot and adjust production plans in response to changing conditions.
- Adapt to equipment malfunctions, material delays, and production rework requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve daily production targets.
- Assist in onboarding and training new members of the Production Planning team.
- Provide coverage for all planning roles as needed.
- Coordinate daily material pulls for production rooms.
- Support forecasting and inventory management of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Assist with purchase order (PO) and transfer order (TO) postings; verify inventory transactions.
- Perform minor inventory adjustments, as necessary.
- Process and close daily production batches.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities and physical inventory counts.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
