Overview
As leader of the Central Receiving & Distribution team, is responsible to assure the training and adherence of Receiving and Distribution Clerks for the proper receipt, storage and distribution of medical supplies per established policy and procedure. Supervises the proper management of capital assets from receipt to delivery to those departments responsible for its preparation for point of care use (e.g. construction, engineering, biomed).
Assures staff is proficient in the use of computer functions for securing and tracking product to assure that automated stores inventories match actual stores inventories. Operationally contributes to manager's goal of controlling the dollar value of inventories on hand, balancing maximum turnover with minimum adequate supply, insuring fiscal responsibility. Make recommendations for improvement. Prepares and presents manager approved reviews to Receiving and Distribution Clerks.
Contributes to other departmental support duties as assigned.

- Contribute to the manager's goal of controlling the dollar value of inventories on hand, balancing turnover with adequate supply and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and present manager-approved reviews to Receiving and Distribution Clerks.
- Contribute to other departmental support duties as assigned.

Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. - 3 years experience in inventory/warehousing and receiving.
- 5 years experience receiving in an acute care hospital setting.
