The Plant Controller is responsible for all financial and accounting planning, analysis, and reporting for Pharmavite’s manufacturing plants in San Fernando and Valencia. This includes budgeting and forecasting manufacturing spend, driving site cost improvement projects, monthly variance analysis, control of spend and inventory, and analyzing capital projects for justification. Active member of the plant leadership team, providing indirect support to the Site Director.

• Drive understanding and management of financial results across plant management staff, including analysis of spend variances with prompt course corrections as necessary.
• Measure, analyze and report on manufacturing variances. Recommends strategies to improve manufacturing efficiencies through analysis of production processes, capacities, and new technologies.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting of plant manufacturing spend during annual budgets and periodic financial reforecasts during the year.
• Analyze monthly yield/quality loss variances and communicate key drivers.
• Provide general financial support for all continuous improvement programs.
• Maintain control over inventory through tight month-end reconciliations.
• Support analysis of capital projects to provide financial justification.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting.

• Previous Site Controller experience inside a manufacturing plant is required.
• 5+ years' experience in progressing Finance roles within a manufacturing environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of ERP and computerized cost accounting systems, inventory systems, and standard product costing, including strong experience in bills of materials, labor, and throughput routings.
• Knowledge of reconciling inventory between the General Ledger and Perpetual records.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to construct and explain large, complex financial models in Excel.
• Ability to form strong cross-functional business partnerships and collaborate with those partners.

• Exposure to disagreeable elements is moderate.

• The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices without endangering the health or safety of themselves or others.

• Manages 1-2 Senior Cost Accountants who will have primary responsibility for reviewing work order variances and other specified cost accruals.
