We are looking for a Correctional Services Clinician, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Correctional Services Clinician is responsible for supporting the mental health and well-being of seriously mentally ill inmates within the correctional facility. The clinician will conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence based therapeutic techniques and will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with both agency and county procedures.
Compensationand Benefits
The pay range we’re offering is $82,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience.

- Valid registration or licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (ACSW, AMFT, LCSW, LMFT, APCC, LPCC).
- Prior experience working with severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
- Preferred experience with justice-involved/forensic populations.
- Prior experience with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in word processing.
- Excellent writing skills.
- General office skills.
- Typing speed of 50 words per minute (WPM).
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening.
- Ability to commute to various sites on campus and correctional facilities.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift 10 pounds

- Assessment and Coordination:
- Conduct a minimum of five one-hour group therapy sessions per day for seriously mentally ill inmates.
- Conduct individual assessments to identify the specific service needs of seriously mentally ill inmates.
- Coordinate and lead structured programming activities for inmates, focusing on life skills, coping skills, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationships.
- Utilize evidence based therapeutic techniques to facilitate group discussion, encourage self-reflection, and promote positive behavioral changes.
