Our Special Education teachers play a vital role in planning, organizing, and delivering specialized instructional programs in a special education elementary or secondary learning environment, guiding and encouraging students to develop and fulfill their academic/ behavioral potential. Teachers work under the general supervision of the Principal and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $70,304 - $76,000 annually

- Current California Intern/Preliminary/Clear Extensive Needs Education Specialist Credential
- Experience working with students with learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum, speech and communication disorders preferred
- Preferred:
Prior teaching experience in a non-public school special education setting - Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office-related software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- General administrative and clerical abilities
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screening
- Plan, organize, and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the approved curriculum
- Conduct pre- and post-testing using standardized teacher-developed tests for each student
- As part of the team, develop, implement, and present IEPs in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators
- Manage classroom behavior in a respectful, structured, and trauma-informed manner
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and documentation as required
- Demonstrate competency in all subject areas and schedule the classroom day to include instruction in all curriculum areas
- Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Meetings
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student success
- Supervise Instructional Aides assigned to the classroom
- Actively participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan
