The Position

The Data Quality Specialist supports the organization’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Performance Improvement (PI) activities by ensuring the accurate, timely, and reliable collection of outcome and compliance data across programs. This role plays a critical function in maintaining data integrity for regulatory reporting, risk management, and accreditation readiness, including compliance with Joint Commission standards.

The Data Quality Specialist is primarily responsible for data entry, data verification, and data monitoring, with a focus on Special Incident Reports (SIRs), Notices of Concern for HSPRS, OMAS data for Full Service Partnership (FSP) programs, and other internal and external data collection systems. While this role does not provide clinical oversight, it ensures that data submitted reflects fidelity to reporting requirements and supports data-informed decision-making.

The pay range we’re offering is $20.00 - $25.00 hourly depending on experience. This is a part-time position.

Education / Experience Required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, quality improvement, or behavioral health performance evaluation
  • Knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements in behavioral health and child welfare (e.g., Medi-Cal, DMH, COA/Social Current, Joint Commission)
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and FIRPA requirements
Computer / Office Skills Required
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and other office-related software
  • General Office Skills
  • SPSS
Physical Skills Required
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various school sites depending on program needs
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical duties, including standing and sitting
