JR 047678## Summary The Logistics Senior Specialist role is responsible for supporting transportation and logistics operations within the designated region. Leveraging your subject matter expertise, you will drive proactive communication and resolve transport execution escalations in support of Global Supply Chain operations.  This role is pivotal in driving cost reductions, improving service levels, and increasing overall supply chain agility. The ideal candidate is experienced in freight management, transportation planning, routing optimization, vendor collaboration, and international transport operations.##

** Let’s talk about Responsibilities
*** The primary objective of Logistics Senior Specialist is to oversee the logistics processes that enable on time delivery at optimal costs.
* Key responsibilities include supporting and resolving escalations with inbound and outbound transportation, warehouse receipt requirements, import/export documentation, freight forwarder coordination, customs clearances and 3rd party logistics and governance.
* This role works closely with distribution, manufacturing, planning and procurement teams.
* Coordinate and collaborate internally and externally in the facilitation of inbound shipments into the designated region.
* Identify and aid in the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
* Works independently, likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
* Knowledgeable and current on industry trends and developments, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance transportation operations.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Operational Optimization
*** Lead lane-level reporting and reviews of transportation operations.
* Monitor key metrics such as transit time, utilization, and on-time delivery.
* Work cross-functionally with planning, warehousing, procurement, and customer service to align logistics strategies.
** Tools & Technology
*** Use TMS, BI platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Alteryx) for performance analysis, visibility and reporting.
* Support the implementation of new logistics tools and system enhancements (TMS, network design software, etc.)
** Vendor & Carrier Management
*** Partner with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and carriers to improve performance and transparency.
* Support RFP processes, carrier evaluations, and continuous improvement plans.

Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
* Transportation and Freight Operations Experience.
* Knowledgeable of international transportation requirements.## ##

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* 5–10+ years of logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, with direct involvement in network design or freight optimization.
* Experience with international freight, customs, or Incoterms;
Exposure to sustainability initiatives or green logistics programs.
* Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and transportation management systems (TMS).
* Experience with routing software or network modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft, Coupa, Oracle GTM, SAP TM, etc.)
* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable data and solutions; experience with managing cross-functional working teams and complex global logistics network initiatives.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and mission-critical environment.
