Help launch a brand new swim team! Special Olympics Southern California is starting a new swim team at the Copley-Price YMCA—and they're looking for volunteer coaches to help make it happen! You’ll support athletes in practice alongside a head coach and be part of something truly meaningful. Come make an impact in the pool—SOSC would love to have you!
Opportunity Requirements & Important NotesKey Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Coach in creating, organizing and conducting a comprehensive sports training program
- Train athletes during scheduled practice times as well as accompany team to competitions
- Create and maintain a positive and fun environment for all athletes
Skills &
Qualifications:
- No prior SOSC experience required—just enthusiasm and a love of working with athletes.
- This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations.
Time Commitment: Sundays, 12pm - 2pm from March 7, 2026 - June 7, 2026
