Responsibilities- Optimize image and video processing and compression for 2D/3D video, Multiview video, 360‑degree video.
- Design and develop processing or encoding optimization algorithms for various use cases.
- Research and develop visual quality‑oriented video coding and processing algorithms.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master in computer science/electrical engineering/mathematics/statistics and related disciplines.
- Good understanding of state‑of‑the‑art image and video processing algorithms.
- Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general‑purpose programming languages, including but not limited to C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with Neural Network‑based image/video coding and processing.
- Experience in development of image/video related applications, such as live streaming, video conference, offline transcoding.
- Experience in software codec development.
- Experience in international standardization work.
- Familiar with one of the video compression standards, e.g., VVC/H.265/AV1/AVS/H.264 and its reference software.
- Familiar with SIMD/NEON, and multi‑threading design.

Job InformationThe hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $42.75- $42.75.

Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
