Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with AI experience for a direct hire opportunity to sit fully remote in the US. You will be joining a team to help improve AI governance and compliance platforms to help organizations manage and monitor AI systems securely and transparently. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ship production-grade Gen AI capabilities.

You’ll build full stack product features utilizing Type Script, Node.js and React and contribute to the development of observability and AI tracing systems. This resource should have hands on implementation of LLM powered systems and have familiarity with tool/agent orchestration frameworks. You will translate ambiguous product goals into reliable, scalable solutions, contribute directly to core platform architecture, and collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to deliver real-world AI capabilities used in production by customers.

• Take end-to-end ownership of features—from requirements shaping through implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
• Operate autonomously in ambiguity, making pragmatic engineering decisions aligned with product goals.
• Diagnose and improve performance, reliability, and quality of AI-driven systems.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to shape solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews, architectural discussions, and internal technical debates.

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Extensive development experience w/ Type Script, Node.
  
  JS, and React
• Hands-on implementation of LLM powered systems (applications, agents, workflows)
• Experienced w/ Generative AI
• Familiar w/ tool/agent orchestration frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Llama Index, custom frameworks)
• Architecture, debugging, and performance optimization
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search, or evaluation methodologies
• Exposure to evaluation frameworks, safety systems, or LLM traceability
• Experience w/ Python for AI workflows
• Experience w/ data pipelines, vector databases or ML infrastructure
• Open0source AI frameworks
