Embedded Software Development Engineer

Kitu Systems, Inc is a startup building an exciting cloud service for IoT applications. We are looking for engineers seeking a position where their every contribution makes a difference, where they can continuously improve their skills, and where they can develop beautiful and intuitive code for challenging applications.

The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated and naturally inquisitive individual with a 5+ year background in C software development, a strong belief in the value of requirements and testing, and enjoys taking on new challenges.

• Development and integration of C software on Linux based platforms
• Interfacing with customers to support software integration
• Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team as well as work independently

• Knowledge of Git for software configuration management
• Strong knowledge of the Linux kernel and architecture
• Familiarity with networking
• Experience with multi‑threaded software development
• Self‑starting and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Linux experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in C development
• Bachelor’s‑degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical field
