Position OverviewThe Web Designer is a full‑stack developer responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the college’s web presence. The role requires designing engaging user experiences, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and managing back‑end infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Design and develop responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Maintain and update the college’s content management system and related modules.
- Manage a LAMP (or similar) stack, docker containers, and Linux servers.
- Ensure web sites meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to gather requirements and provide training to end‑users.
- Monitor site analytics and recommend improvements to increase user engagement.
- Experience managing modern websites with a CMS and a LAMP stack.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and front‑end frameworks.
- Knowledge of Docker, Linux administration, and open‑source software.
- Strong UI/UX skills and familiarity with modern design patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to build custom themes, modules, or functionality.
- Commitment to accessibility and WCAG compliance.
- Foreign‑degree holders must provide a credential evaluation from a NACES member or ACEI.

Range 34: $6,378.93 – $10,182.22 per month, based on step placement and experience.
