We’re looking for a Software Engineer, Audio to join the Operating Systems team!

What you’ll do:

* Work individually, collaboratively, and cross-functionally on the design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of audio-related software solutions for the Spectacles family of AR devices
* Contribute to the strategy for and execution of audio roadmaps, with topics ranging from low-level embedded implementations to HLOS audio system architectures to audio signal processing and machine learning technology IP
* Participate in design reviews, code review with peers and stakeholders to create reliable solutions
* Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Good software engineering skills including design, programming, debugging and testing
* Understanding of operating system concepts (Linux/Android), data structures and familiarity with computer system architectures and associated performance tradeoffs
* Experience with embedded systems / devices, including integration and device testing
* Software development process skills including: source control, bug tracking, and design documentation
* Broad understanding of audio domain fundamentals, which could include: basic audio/acoustics theory, audio signal processing algorithms, audio HW/SW system architecture, audio processing frameworks, and/or audio machine learning algorithms
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical and software debugging skills

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Audio Technology or equivalent
* Proficiency in C or C++ programming
* 6+ years of experience developing SW for audio frameworks, algorithms and/or features

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Audio Technology or equivalent
* Familiarity with Matlab or Python programming is a plus
* Experience developing SW for shipping consumer electronics products
* Experience with Qualcomm SDKs and tools
