CPU Software Architecture Sr Staff Engineer

Who you are:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent advanced degree). Master’s degree is a plus
- 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- Expertise in ARM CPU architecture fundamentals and ARMv8/v9 ISA; familiarity with ARM assembly.
- Proven debugging skills for embedded projects, including SOC JTAG traces and analysis.
- Experience with embedded systems and platform-level development for CPUs (server domain experience is a plus).
- Experience in software or driver development for operating systems like Linux or RTOS.
- Design and implement software modules for embedded and cloud-edge systems.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define software architecture and optimize performance for ARM-based SoCs.
- Develop firmware and drivers for operating systems like Linux or RTOS.
- Perform code reviews, regression testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Analyze traces and optimize applications for ARM architecture-based platforms.
- Be part of a global technology innovator’s ARM CPU initiative, shaping next-generation SoC platforms.
- Collaborate with world-class engineers on hardware-software co-design for cutting-edge systems.
- Drive performance optimization for premium-tier mobile, automotive, and cloud products.
- Lead innovation in CPU architecture for data center and server platforms.
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.
The expected range for this role is $163,000–$244,000 per year
