Overview
An employer in the San Diego area is looking for an Electrician. The Electrician will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the electrical systems and equipment including planned maintenance, installation, and modifications. The electrician will need to maintain and repair all electrical systems including troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, electrical system installation and temporary power installations. The candidate will need to install wiring and devices including the changing of light bulbs, ballast and fixtures and troubleshoot circuit problems as needed.
The candidate will need to comply with National Electrical Codes, OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions.
- Journeymen electrician certification or equivalent experience required.
- Preferred to be a California Licensed Electrician (C10 License or Journeyman Electrician)
- Experience working with Commercial voltage - 440 and 480 Volt circuits
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings and technical literature.
- Must know California Electrical Code
- Must be flexible with working the Night Shift when needed
- Must be able to lift above 50 pounds
- Experience coming from a construction background
- Experience in a service environment (Hotel, Resort or Restaurant)
