ELECTRONICS MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY at Portsmouth, Puget Sound, Norfolk, and Pearl Harbor shipyards.

$34.97 – $53.30 per hour (Pay scale WL 11).

• Apply advanced trades knowledge to electronic equipment operations.
• Guide, train, and mentor shop personnel performing removal, disassembly, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, repair, installation, and testing of various electronic equipment.
• Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures, instruct on new procedures, and provide advice when problems arise.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment used to manufacture and overhaul surface and sub‑surface ship components.
• Use technical manuals and specifications to determine requirements and maintain quality control.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be suitable for federal employment and must pass the E‑Verify check.
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance prior to duty.
• Must complete a pre‑appointment physical examination and pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana).
• Must be able to travel and work occasional on‑call hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment continuously during the work shift.
