General

Summary:

Intermediate level electrician with experience related to commercial buildings.

• Perform routine equipment repairs and install office equipment/fixtures including doors, frames, toilets, pumps, motors in central plant.
• Repair or alter structures such as walls and roofs.
• Conduct periodic and scheduled inspections of premises to determine necessary repair work.
• Work from rough sketches and drawings to install corkboards, whiteboards, shelves, electrical outlets, light fixtures, etc.
• Interface with supply houses, receive and negotiate quotes from vendors, and determine supplies to order.
• Train, assist, and provide direction to lower level Maintenance Technicians.
• Drive company or personal vehicle between buildings as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervision and assist with other maintenance activities as needed.

• High school diploma.
• California State Electrical Certification.
• Valid and current CA driver’s license.
• Experience with electrical sub panels, motor control centers, distribution panels, wire sizing, color coding, state and local code requirements, NFPA 70E.
• Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of 120/208/277/480V branch circuits, lighting, lighting control systems, motors, and devices.
• Ability to read commercial building blueprints, electrical control schematics, single line diagrams.
• Experience with a variety of wiring methods and their appropriate applications.

Pay range: $27.46 - $41.20 per hour.
