As an Installation Technician, your purpose is to ensure that sensitive environments—like MRI suites, electronics test labs, and secure government facilities—are shielded and operational, delivering both safety and performance for communities and industries nationwide. This is not just construction; it’s enabling technology and security where it matters most.
PERFORMANCEOBJECTIVES (What Success Looks Like)
- Install and Construct Specialized RF Shielding: Lead and execute field installation, assembly, and adjustment of complex RF door assemblies and enclosures—ensuring all projects meet or exceed construction tolerances, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
- Quality Assurance and Reporting: Consistently inspect your own work and the team’s output, delivering workmanship that meets customer standards for structure, integrity, and appearance. Complete all required status, expense, and inspection reports accurately and on time.
- Efficient Material Handling: Manage logistics at job sites, including safe packing/unpacking and handling of manufactured materials, tools, and PPE, supporting on‑time project completion and minimal waste.
- Adapt to Dynamic Project Timelines: Demonstrate flexibility to work on projects ranging from 1 day to 3 months, frequently traveling across the U.S. (and occasionally internationally). Proactively communicate and adapt to shifting schedules; typically expect 90–100% travel and being home an average of 4 days per month.
- Team Collaboration and Independent Initiative: Thrive as a trusted teammate on remote assignments—building camaraderie and mutual support—while also delivering independent results with minimal supervision. Uphold the culture of military‑style loyalty, pride, and accountability that is core to the team.
- Continuous Learning and Field Training: Rapidly learn proprietary products, installation techniques, and quality standards. Complete onboarding at company facilities (Chicagoland and Wisconsin), followed by 6–12 months of mentorship from senior team members. Demonstrate growth in both technical and soft skills.

- Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in trades (construction, carpentry, or similar fields).
- 2 years of experience in a field service role. Military leadership can be substituted.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- PC and Microsoft Office skills; clear written and oral communication.
- Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs; able to work on feet for extended periods.
- Extensive travel (domestic/international, 85%+); must reside near a major airport.
- Security clearance a plus.
- Competitive base pay: $19–$26/hr.
A $/hr candidate has no experience in the trades and a steep learning curve
A $26/hr candidate is plug and play ready to take on more senior level roles after training
Most candidates are in the middle
Paid travel time (door‑to‑door); per diem for meals and expenses—unused portion is yours to keep.
