DESCRIPTION

Under supervision, responsible for safe operation, testing, calibrating, trouble‑shooting, repair and full‑range maintenance of the plumbing distribution systems and medical gases. Repairs or replaces defective plumbing parts on all systems. General knowledge of plumbing codes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/ procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a journeyman plumber.
  • Recent experience in a similar role and setting.
  • Must be familiar with drain cleaning equipment and their proper use.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Medical Gas Certification.
  • Backflow Certification.
  • OSHPD experience.
  • Healthcare environment experience.
  • General knowledge of steam systems.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be comfortable in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $105,841 - $105,841 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $50.69 - $50.69

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
