Amentum is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our industrial operations & maintenance team at a major pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in San Diego, CA

Typical work hours are a 8-hour day shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; hours may vary based on the requirements of critical business demand.

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility mechanical, electrical equipment, and systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

As the Industrial Electrician, your daily duties for this role will include:

* Diagnosing and troubleshooting all facility equipment and systems, including:

* Normal and emergency power systems;

* Buss power distribution systems, duct plugs, conduit, and wiring;

* Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems; and

* Switch gears, motors, disconnects and breakers, AC and variable frequency drives, low voltage controls, PLCs, cranes and hoists, lighting systems, building automation systems, and motor control centers (up to 480V).

* Maintaining, improving, and participating in developing control systems, programming ladder logic/PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens Control Logix, PLC-5) and HMI. Working with Allen Bradley controls and instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers, as well as primary voltages up to and including 480v.

* Providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting the electrical and controls needs of equipment and systems related to HVAC units, motors, lighting systems, control circuits, VFDs, PLCs, cranes, and hoists.

* Utilizing the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.

* Performing preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, instruments, control systems, drives, and lighting systems as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

* Performing functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE.

* Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

* Calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pharmaceutical production equipment and laboratory equipment instrumentation (reactors, freezers, incubators, and more).

* As the Industrial Electrician IV, you will be expected to:

Minimum Requirements:

* High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

* 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Experience with digital controls systems, PLCs, and more.

* Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

* Experience troubleshooting and repairing components up to 480V 3 phase.
