Overview
You will serve as a PIPEFITTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY and work at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
SalaryHourly: $30.11 to $50.37 per hour.
Duties- Lead a group of pipe fitters and ensure work assignments are completed.
- Install, modify, fabricate, and repair shipboard pipe systems and equipment, including low and high pressure air, water, and steam systems.
- Mentor, train, and instruct Pipe Shop employees in a wide range of pipe fitting duties.
- Inspect completed and in-progress work for quality workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans, and schedules.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification, and testing in the shop and aboard ships.
- Research to continually improve trade processes and keep shop personnel apprised of new technologies, procedures, best practices, and tooling improvements.

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
