OverviewThe Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) will be responsible for ensuring security and quality controls on construction sites in accordance with project plans and security standards.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with established Construction Security Plan (CSP).
- Document daily construction activities through photographic and written records, meeting the established requirements for documentation during each shift.
- Supplement site access controls, implement screening and inspection procedures, and monitor construction and personnel to include clearing and securing areas.
- Complete daily activity reports and immediately report 100% of security incidents, issues, and concerns to the Security Supervisor/Site Manager upon detection.
- Randomly screen/examine construction materials for prohibited items and hazards and document accordingly.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with ICD
705 construction standards, as depicted in the construction drawings and per the CSP. - Conduct periodic security and quality inspections for the duration of the project to ensure compliance with construction design and security standards.
- Assess and report anomalies and security incidents via a written report with photographic documentation.
- Handle all other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Site Security Manager.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in areas related to ICD 705 construction, intelligence operations, counterintelligence operations, counter-surveillance operations, technical surveillance countermeasures, and physical security.
- Successful completion of a 40 Hour Construction Surveillance Technician training course (DOS SE631) or equivalent course approved by PGI.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and write detailed reports, analyses of problems, findings, and security situations requiring staff action.
- Capable of independent decision-making and functioning with minimal supervision.
- High degree of initiative.
- Stand for 8 hours or longer.
- Work in inclement weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, humidity, and other adverse conditions for extended periods.
- Lift up to 20 lbs; may involve standing, walking, sitting, and bending during the workday.
- Able to walk across uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and frequently go up and down stairs; maneuver around obstacles and equipment on construction sites.
