Job DescriptionThe Loss Prevention Officer serves three vital functions at our hotel:
1) ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests, associates and patrons; victim;
2) protect hotel property and assets from theft and damage by maintaining a secure environment; and
3) act as an ambassador, providing courteous service and follow‑up on needs and requests.
- Patrol the building during rounds around the hotel.
- Prevent admission of undesirables and others not conducting legitimate business.
- Defuse tense or potentially dangerous situations without undue risk.
- Report situations to Police, Executive Committee and General Manager as required.
- Perform “Guest assists.”
- Write incident reports and daily logs using Omni standards.
- Conduct internal investigations into lost property, missing items and associate incidents.
- Conduct associate accident/injury investigations and file reports promptly.
- Conduct guest/visitor accident/injury investigations.
- Maintain communication standards for guests and associates during investigations.
- Handle Premium media interactions following Omni standards.
- Perform dispatch duties and respond to emergency and first aid situations promptly.
- Control and program fire alarms.
- Monitor CCTV and retrieve footage for investigations.
- Respect confidentiality of guest and associate information.
- Maintain Lost & Found inventory control.
- Conduct safety inspections and address unsafe areas immediately.
- Manage crowd control situations.
- Monitor internal theft, package policies, and conduct bag inspections.
- Ensure maximum safety and security for guests, associates and hotel at all times.
- Serve as an ambassador, displaying courteous, tactful, and helpful demeanor while enforcing policies.
- Report all activities in writing each shift and deliver oral reports as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work varied shifts, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written.
- Display courtesy, diplomacy, tact and firmness when necessary.
- Provide clear, legible instructions and directions.
- Comfortable with computers and required software.
- Type at least 25 words per minute.
- Ability to stand, walk and respond quickly during emergencies.
- Clear and concise writing skills.
- Quick decision‑making skills.
- Maintain CPR and AED certification before starting.
- Prior hospitality or related industry experience preferred.
- Guard Card preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
All positions require that candidates are able to work collars a flexible schedule.
Comp Prayer- Pay: $28.30 per hour (range; actual compensation may vary by qualifications and experience).
