Job Description
As a Security Officer - Secret Clearance Patrol in San Diego, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. A Patrol Unarmed Officer will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, help deter security incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with staff and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and respond to situations professionally. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $24.14 / Hour

What You’ll Do
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help maintain a secure environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and others as needed during patrols and incidents.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to support the security-related needs of the location.
Minimum Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid legitimacy driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
