The Role – Safety & Security Officer
The Safety & Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and hotel property. This role involves proactive patrolling, monitoring, and responding to incidents while delivering exceptional guest service.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol the property to ensure the safety of guests and colleagues and protect all hotel assets.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems for suspicious activity.
- Report and document all incidents accurately in incident reports.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies on property and administer first aid/CPR as necessary.
- Assist guests with room access issues, including key assists.
- Assist with luggage assistance requests as needed.
- Initiate and follow up on investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.
- Deliver requested items to guest rooms in a timely manner.
- Assist with other duties as directed by the Assistant Director of Operations or Director of Operations.
All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States. This Position does not offer sponsorship of Work Visas. Resumes submitted that cannot fulfill these requirements will not be considered.
Wage InformationThe hourly rate for this position is $23.50/hr.
Qualifications- Genuine desire to provide exceptional service in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk moderate distances.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Previous hotel security experience preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
