Qualcomm is recruiting an Account Manager to the Business Development team in Japan focusing on Industrial IoT business. The position is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join at a moment where the business is taking off, allowing you to take responsibility for a number of accounts with the channel partners. Responsibilities include supply chain for major business growth, engagement in legal and business frameworks, and developing a broad understanding of Qualcomm’s portfolio for Industrial IoT technologies.
Required Qualifications- Understanding of the whole IoT industry in Japan and its trends.
- Understanding of IoT business industry requirements, development cycle, and business decision criteria.
- Relationships and contacts with key players in IoT customers and partners.
- Sales/business development:
Identify, develop, expand, and sustain Qualcomm IoT business through demand‑creation activity with distributors. - Account management:
Follow up day‑to‑day sales activities, manage design pipeline & KPIs, generate account strategies, lead pricing/sales forecast/business contract work closely with various functional teams in HQ and Japan. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in customers’ organizations and influence decisions.
- Support RFQ and design in process for new projects and conduct price negotiation and drive commercial agreements.
- International experience and knowledge of cultural differences.
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 7+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, product marketing, and proven record of design wins in the high‑tech industry.
- Consultative sales, business planning skills, account analysis and strategy ability, excellent commercial understanding, negotiation skills.
- Self‑motivation, perfection, self‑learning capability, creative problem‑solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English & Japanese. TOEIC 800 or equivalent.
- Hands‑on management, strong leadership, dynamic communication abilities and a creative and collaborative attitude.
- Team player and strongly self‑motivated.
- Vision of innovation, open/flexible proposal.
- Able to execute multi‑task with high‑speed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering is preferred.
