Biopharma Sales Specialist – San Diego, CA

In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth for our off‑the‑shelf product portfolio through proactive outreach, lead qualification, and strategic pipeline management. You will play a key role in converting leads into sales, supporting business development initiatives, and collaborating with internal teams to accelerate growth.

What can I expect in this role?

This is a full‑time position with typical business hours Mon‑Fri 8‑5pm.

Key duties in this role include:
  • Executing high‑volume outbound calling, emailing, and digital outreach to achieve and exceed monthly sales and activity goals.
  • Identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within assigned markets.
  • Managing a robust sales pipeline and ensuring accurate forecasting in Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Converting marketing‑generated and self‑sourced leads to measurable revenue.
  • Demonstrating strong product knowledge and effectively positioning off‑the‑shelf solutions.
  • Partnering with Business Development Managers to strengthen account growth.
  • Analyzing customer and market trends to uncover upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams to enhance customer experience, support campaigns, and stay aligned on inventory needs.
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding individual and team sales objectives.

Education and/or experience required
  • Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of related sales experience required; 5 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales targets with strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce/CRM systems required.
  • Practical microbiology or virology laboratory experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
