We are seeing a Sales Account Specialist Signs to support traffic signage projects by managing customer accounts, preparing quotes and estimates, processing orders, and coordinating project documentation. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and compliance with project specifications throughout the sales and order fulfillment lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate quotes, estimates, and price lists for traffic signage products.
  • Verify that quoted materials comply with project plans, specifications, MUTCD requirements, and customer purchase orders.
  • Enter and process sales orders to ensure alignment with approved quotes and customer purchase orders.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and effective support.
  • Proactively contact customers regarding bid opportunities, upcoming signage projects, and repeat business.
  • Follow up with customers throughout the sales cycle to ensure expectations are met and issues are resolved.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure material accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage submittals, including product data, drawings, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on new part numbers, custom signage, and project-specific needs.
  • Manage dropship purchase orders from outside vendors, including creation, approvals, and delivery tracking.
  • Evaluate and process Return Material Authorizations (RMA) in accordance with company policy.
  • Create and manage Job Closing Reports to ensure projects are billed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate customer account, pricing, and project information in CRM systems.
  • Stay current on traffic signage products, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or account support.
  • Experience in traffic signage, construction, or a related industry preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Technical product aptitude with the ability to understand signage materials and applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with Great Plains a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and internal teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Physical Conditions / Requirements
    • No unusual physical requirements. It requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is done in a comfortable indoor facility.
    • Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
    • Job frequently requires sitting and handling objects with hands.
    • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
    • Vision requirements:
      Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
    • Hearing requirements:
      Ability to hear people over the telephone and in person.
