Our Compression Systems and Services Customer Center is hiring a General Line Account Manager to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the Customer Center equipment sales and service activity for a specific territory. Traveling in a defined geographic area, this includes quoting, strategizing, prospecting, and developing relationships to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share and maintain customer loyalty while achieving organizational goals.
The position is a unique blend of supporting a major distributor and selling direct to customers.
- Generate Revenue – Responsible for generating sales of equipment, service contracts, and service offerings with direct end users and partners. Develop existing customer base and secure new accounts. Provide and design compressed air solutions. Keep product knowledge current and execute strategy for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Achieve all assigned sales targets.
- Develop People Capabilities – Provide selling skills and product/services training for sales personnel and partner with services teams.
- Manage Cash – Ensure all orders are error‑free and resolve customer disputes. Manage all costs associated with selling efforts, including travel and entertainment.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules – In the field and customer center.
- Earn Customer loyalty – Collaborate cross‑functionally and partner with service teams to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain Customer Relationship Management database – Record order follow‑up activities and provide market feedback. Drive and track sales pipeline and daily reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of experience in an industrial sales business setting
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
- Establishes and builds solid relationships with customers, key institutions and team members.
- Honest, self‑motivated and team oriented.
- Able to work within a team environment and independently.
- Mechanical and electrical expertise required.
- Ability to assess customer needs and recommend technical solutions.
- Tech savvy; knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
- Proven business and sales acumen, including prospecting and value selling.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Salesforce.
- Regional travel to customer sites required within assigned geographic territory.
- Valid driver's license for at least 12 months with no major violations.
The total pay range for this role, including incentive opportunities, is $65,000–$160,000.
