The OpportunityHint, one of the fastest‑growing brands in its category, is looking for a Sales Merchandiser to help reinforce Hint's expansion in the enhanced water category in the greater San Diego, CA region. This is an opportunity to learn about a growing brand as the beverage industry continues to trend toward healthier options.
You will follow a specific delivery schedule/route, developing and maintaining key accounts, identifying opportunities for growth, and fostering customer relationships to ensure that our products are received and placed on display/shelves.
What You Will Do- Account Relationships:
Work with specific retail store accounts, establish rapport with key individuals, follow up regularly to ensure consistent ordering and product stock, and ensure Hint looks great on the shelves. - Account Management:
Ensure all pricing and products are properly displayed, communicate out‑of‑stocks or opportunities to local manager, and learn about business initiatives. - Promotions & Point of Sale:
Build and maintain displays to drive sales, assist sales managers with racks, coolers, push glides, and marketing banners, and replenish coolers and stock shelves using backstock to minimize out‑of‑stocks. - Account Growth:
Introduce local account managers to new flavor options, help with customer demos and local events, sell new flavors and additional SKUs when possible. - Time & Territory Management:
Plan day with manager to hit all accounts and give each customer an excellent experience; plan promo weeks, displays, and other sales efforts; track and monitor progress using CRM tools (Repsly) to document info, take pictures, and schedule follow‑ups. - Travel:
Some travel to other regions may be requested to support adjacent territories.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Experience in the CPG industry, Hospitality/Restaurant industry, or Retail industry preferred.
- Ability to consistently start at 7:30 am, M‑F.
- Comfortable driving to/from retail stores following a specific route.
- Experience with sales KPIs and know how to achieve quotas and goals.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills.

- Thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- A clean driving record is a must.
- A doer with a strong sense of urgency and a positive attitude.
- Base salary of $50,000–55,000. Actual salary offer may vary based on location and work experience.
