Job Summary

The Community Marketing Agent works with popular local attractions such as malls and theme parks, attends events like trade shows, festivals, and conferences, and acts as a brand ambassador for Travel + Leisure Co. In this sales‑based role, you will engage in face‑to‑face conversations with prospective customers, share information about the vacation club experience, and invite and incentivize guests to attend award‑winning vacation ownership presentations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive and professional brand ambassador for Travel + Leisure Co.
• Greet, present, and incentivize prospective customers to attend a sales‑preview tour.
• Screen and qualify potential customers based on company guidelines.
• Make sales‑tour reservations and collect required deposits.

Additional Responsibilities

• Attend all scheduled training sessions, department meetings, keep current on marketing information and materials, stay informed on industry trends, and set and review performance goals weekly, monthly and annually (20%).
• Maintain minimum performance goals (80% of time).

Travel Requirements

No travel required outside of the home site’s area.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, not required. Must maintain production standards.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

Training Requirements

• None.

Knowledge & Skills

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment within a shared space.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, general computer skills, and smart devices.

Job Experience

• 1 to 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience is preferred, not required.

Compensation

During the initial training period, the hourly wage is $19.75 plus commissions. After the initial training period, the compensation is the state’s minimum wage per hour plus commissions. The target annual compensation for this role is $75,000, comprised of hourly rate and commissions. Top performers may earn up to $118,000+ for exceeding minimum production requirements.
