JOB SUMMARY

An Account Manager is in charge of managing relationships with customers as the primary point of contact for day-to-day needs. They will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their contacts, always striving to find opportunities to generate more value for the client and the company. Tasks may involve project management, strategic planning, account development, sales support, and de-escalation. A successful Account Manager will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, while also being resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the main point of contact for an assigned book of business.

  • Work as part of a team that offers holistic client support and execution.

  • Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Identify opportunities to grow business with existing relationships through cross selling and needs discovery.

  • Communicating progress of quarterly, monthly, and yearly initiatives to stakeholders.

  • Preparing account reports as requested by clients or supervisors.

  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to meet client needs and create new opportunities.

  • Forecasting and monitoring account metrics for each client.

  • Keep accurate and timely notes in Salesforce.

  • Multi-task between various inquiries and systems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Resolve problems by investigating the presented issues in our back office, consulting with other departments and/or researching under the specific client’s account.

  • Actively listen to each client in order to gain perfect understanding of their individualized needs.

  • Identify industry trends.

  • Properly manage client’s expectations and follow through on commitments.

  • Service multiple clients concurrently to meet target deadlines.

  • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Strong analytical skills to review client data.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to help meet customer challenges.

  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills to transition among client accounts easily.

  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail to manage multiple accounts, projects, and relationships simultaneously.

  • Effective negotiation skills for creating and settling contracts.

  • Working knowledge of the most common and most recent industry best practices.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to converse with clients and communicate client needs with staff.

  • Ability to listen.

  • Ability to work on a team.

  • Ability to present sales materials and/or collaterals to clients.

  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and facilitative.

  • Professional and positive approach.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • BA/BS Degree in business administration, sales, or relevant field.

  • Client-focused solutions experience.

  • Sales and account development experience.

  • Customer service experience to handle clients and customers from different industries and backgrounds.

  • Solution-based sales experience to uncover needs and prescribe steps for desired outcome.

  • Experience with in an agency environment is strongly desired.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to speak on the phone and/or in person.
