This position will be based at our new Fashion Valley location, scheduled to open in May 2026.
Retail Store Managers are in charge of the staff, operation, and presentation of their New Balance store. They inspire their team and set the tone, consistently demonstrating our core values of integrity, teamwork, and total customer satisfaction.
Major Accountabilities- Create and maintain a "Total Customer Satisfaction" culture by ensuring your team is 100% trained on the NB GUEST service model
- Set the store6s strategic direction to reach sales and budget goals
- Hire and develop team members, taking ownership of their growth
- Think creatively to boost store traffic and hit financial targets
- Execute weekly and monthly business rhythms and tasks to ensure smooth store operations
- Uphold visual merchandising standards to keep the store looking fresh
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities to build the brand within the communities served
- Analyze market trends with the District Manager to drive sales
- Maintain positive employee relations and open communication throughout the store
- Communicate coaching strategy and conflict resolution with the District Manager
- Conduct regular employee performance reviews
- Promote and follow safety protocols
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3-6 years of store management experience (some stores in high-volume areas may require more)
- B.A. in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of staff development through coaching, counseling, and related experience
- Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budgeting, and loss prevention
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Physical requirements:
ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, stand for extended periods, kneel or squat, climb ladders occasionally, and ascend/descend stairs (location dependent)
Fashion Valley, CA Retail Only Pay Range: $62,800.00 - $78,500.00 - $94,225.00 Annual (actual base pay varies based on experience, role, equity, location, and more).
