Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage) (T2855) s role supports General Merchandise and Food Sales, inbound/outbound replenishment, and promotional signing processes across GM areas of the store.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Assist guests in a friendly manner to solve their specific needs and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Perform daily tasks under leadership to achieve goals aligned with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and setting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes such as price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by leadership.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services, including back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, or delivering pickup orders) while complying with relevant laws.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Enjoy interacting with guests and fellow team members; provide helpful guest service.
• Thrive in a fast-moving, active environment requiring teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
• Open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.

• Experience with guest service and a guest-first mindset.
• Ability to communicate and operate technology devices (handheld scanners, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within time frames.
• Willingness to handle cash register operations as needed and work in varying temperatures and elements depending on role (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).

• Frequent lifting up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule with reliable attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain mobility during shift length; exposure to varying temperatures and environments may occur.
