Food Service Worker

This is a small Mom and Pop Deli located in Serra Mesa (near Montgomery Airfield). Serving breakfast/ lunch with sandwiches, soups, and wraps. No grill. No fryers. Mon-Fri only. 730-230pm. A positive and outgoing personality is most important. We know our customers by name and we pride ourselves on customer service. Looking for a friendly face to start immediately.

This is a full-time or part-time on-site role for a Food Service Worker. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and serving food (mainly subs/sandwiches), maintaining cleanliness and organization of food service areas, and ensuring a positive dining experience for customers. Other tasks include cashier, preparing and serving coffee, smoothie, and Boba tea.

Cleaning, restocking, and shopping for food items is also required. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with team members to ensure smooth operations. The right person should be fast, flexible, multi-tasking, handle stress well, and have a positive outgoing personality. There will always be at least two persons on shift.

• Proficiency in Food Preparation and Food Service to ensure quality meals and service
• Knowledge of Food Safety regulations and practices
• Strong Customer Service skills to provide an exceptional dining experience
• Understanding of Food & Beverage handling and presentation
• Teamwork, time management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in food service or a similar role is a plus
