Overview
Provide elevated customer service in a high energy and fast paced environment. Maintain a positive attitude with guests and co-workers while accurately operating a point of sale system and fulfilling food and beverage orders in an efficient manner. Performs opening and closing job duties for all scheduled events.
Responsibilities- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Serve food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines. May prepare, cook, or assemble food items.
- Properly record all transactions via the point of sale system and collects payment for food and beverage items; processes credit cards or meal plan payments.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
- Maintains a high-quality appearance of the concession location with a focus on attention to detail and clear sight lines.
- Participate in set-up, opening & closing procedures, arrange inventory, notify Stand Lead or Supervisor of any inventory deficiency or shortages.
- Perform clean-up duties in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment and adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Ensures security of company assets.
- Observes all company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Must comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including but not limited to: employment, safety, and health.
- Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs. This may include opening, mid-day, and closing shifts, as well as night shifts, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.

The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School Diploma or a General Education Development (GED) degree is required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Food Handler’s certificate from the County of San Diego is preferred.
For alcohol service purposes, 21 years or older is preferred and able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
Minimum qualifications or standards to perform essential job functionsLanguage Skills
Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees using correct English. Requires good voice quality that is conversational and professional.
Mathematical SkillsBasic math skills with the ability to count in ascending or descending order. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning AbilityRequires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instruction.
Manual DexterityRequires the ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.
Physical CommunicationMust have the ability to talk/expressing and/or exchanging ideas and hear/perceiving sounds. Physical appearance presented to the public and internal employees must be professional.
Physical DemandsMust be able to operate cash registers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for prolonged hours; handle and reach objects. Employees are required to stand, walk/move and may ascend/descend stairs. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.
Working conditions and hazardsWork is regularly performed in a food production area where there is frequent exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals. Employees will work outside with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, allergens, and work temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate on non-event days and moderate to loud on event days.
