Overview
(P.M. Shift 2 - 10:30 PM) You will be responsible for preparing and executing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest culinary standards. This position requires precision, efficiency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upscale dining, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team.
Pay Range $19.67 - $20.67 #TowncountrySD
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items with consistency and precision, following established recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with food preparation, storage, and rotation to minimize waste.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume, fine dining environment while upholding quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of kitchen equipment and adherence to HACCP guidelines.
- Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to contribute to menu innovation and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale kitchen environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of classic and modern cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, roasting, and plating.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency with kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
