RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Making a memorable first and last impression.
- Greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner. Seating guests in the dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
- Coordinating the wait and seating guests with a sense of urgency.
- Always smiling and engaging in genuine conversations with guests.
- Having a general knowledge of the food and drink menu, and being able to recommend and upsell products.
- Answering the phone promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed.
- Being a team player by assisting throughout the restaurant—bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring every opportunity to WOW a customer is fulfilled. Teamwork is essential.
- Leading the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards.
- Committing to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.; able to work in hot and cold environments.
- Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential job duties.
- For California-based positions:
Responsible Beverage Service Certification required (can be completed during training or within 60 days of start date).
