Position Overview
Position title:
Project Scientist, Research Scientist, or Specialist – Pediatrics.
Salary range: $77,100 – $204,100. Academic salary scales set minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. (See tables for Specialist, Project Scientist, Research Scientist – tables omitted due to no content.)

The Department of Pediatrics within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body.
We are conducting an open search for Project Scientists, Research Scientists, and Specialists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full level in various disciplines of basic and clinical science.
Selected Candidates Will Be Responsible For:- Designing, managing, and conducting experiments
- Leading projects and/or making significant contributions to research objectives
- Training, teaching, and mentoring students or colleagues in laboratory techniques
- Participating in and presenting at scientific meetings
- Preparing scientific reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals for submission and/or publication

QualificationsBasic qualifications (required at time of application):
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD in health-related fields.
